The PRECARE Study tests the effectiveness of prehospital ECPR for refractory cardiac arrest. ECPR (extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is the term used when ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) is used in conjunction with CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
